Samsung is preparing to combine the advantages of its competitors in the foldable phone market in a single model. It was revealed that the model, which was previously called Galaxy X Fold Special Edition (SE), will come with UTG glass. The model, which will have a very thin body, is likely to come across an unexpected feature.
Is S-Pen support coming to the Galaxy Z Fold SE?
Once a trademark of the Galaxy Note series, the S-Pen has already become a staple accessory for Galaxy flagships. Although there is no official confirmation yet, the Galaxy Z Fold SE has leaked that it will support the S-Pen.
But how will the S-Pen slot be on the model that will be the thinnest Samsung foldable phone ever introduced? As you know, according to the information shared by Evan Blass, the model will be 4.9 mm thick when open and 10.6 mm thick when closed. In this sense, it is also a matter of curiosity whether the device will come with an S-Pen slot.
In this sense, Samsung is expected to offer only S-Pen support for the Z Fold SE model. The main reason for this is the lack of space for the slot. Samsung generally does not prefer to place an S-Pen slot on such a thin body. The model is the size of an 8-inch tablet when open. When closed, it will have an average screen size of 6.5 inches.
It is also worth recalling the previously revealed features for the Galaxy Z Fold SE. Accordingly, it was claimed that the model will feature Samsung’s 200 Megapixel sensor. It is also very likely that this sensor will be the same as the sensor in the Galaxy S24 Ultra. In this sense, it is possible that the camera will provide very successful results even in low light conditions. Samsung generally does not come up with the highest level camera setups in foldable models. However, the fact that competitors such as Honor and Xiaomi have started to be effective in the market has also changed the strategy.
There are no details on the processor side yet. However, it is highly probable that the flagship will come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or 8 Gen 2. Although it is not clear, the model is likely to be released only for China and South Korea. However, Samsung generally launches foldable models in the Far East market under the code name W instead of a special name. In this sense, there is a possibility that the model will first be released in the Far East and then in the global market. It is also necessary to remember that Samsung does not have a marketing strategy such as producing high-end models only for the Far East market.
